Tracy Mann
Writer & Brazilianist
Tracy Mann is a writer and Brazilianist, author of the memoir, O Mundo Todo é Bahia, The Whole World is Bahia (Editora Laranja Original 2026). She is the English-language lyricist for songs by Brazilian musicians Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso, Milton Nascimento and Djavan, among others. Her lyrics appear on Grammy Award-winning albums by the Manhattan Transfer and Sarah Vaughan. Tracy is a proud member of the Macondo Writers Workshop. She is the SXSW (South by Southwest) representative to Brazil. She lives in Manhattan and is at work on a novel.
